Is Chronic Upper Back Pain Responsible for Respiratory Problems and Lung Cancer

If you are suffering from all the above anomalies, then it is definitely an indication that there are some serious problems you are undergoing through your respiratory system, especially the lungs. Upper back pain in the lungs which causes inflammation gives rise to the diseases like tuberculosis and pneumonia. Upper back pain often experienced with the suffering from chronic respiratory problems such as coughs and lung cancer.

Any disorder in the lungs causes pain to the lungs as well as to the chest. The upper spine supports the weight of our whole body especially the vital organs like heart and lungs. The upper back is especially designed and it has a great influence over the longs as it is consist of neck, shoulders, and spinal chord. All these parts are joined together by joints, muscles, and ligaments. When the ligaments and muscles are pulled or used to the utmost, the back pain is felt in between the bottom of the neck and top of the spine. The spine moves while holding up or supporting the weight of the upper component of the body, the chest. The pain felt in joints of the thoracic spine is made of small bones called vertebrae which are attached to the ribs that support the lungs.

If the upper back pain is not treated properly in time may lead to a grievous problem like lung cancer. It is uncertain and difficult to predict a person is suffering back pain due to lung caner and vive versa. It is common perception that long term respiratory illness can cause lung cancer if not treated in initial stage it can be developed into serious lung infection like pneumonia and swelling of face and neck. Hot water and ice therapy, massage, and regular exercise with medication are the best treatment for lungs back pain and chronic upper back pain.
